IVA Do I have to attend meetings
Although attendance is no longer required, as laid down in Statement of Insolvency Practice No 3, our experience is that an initial meeting, at least, is beneficial for all parties concerned.
You will find that some Insolvency Practitioners prefer to do this over the telephone but we believe it is in the debtor's interest to have an initial free consultation.
The debtor should attend the creditors' meeting in order to answer questions and to give consideration to any proposal modifications.
